Pocket bikes and custom mini choppers are highly specialized, miniature motorcycles--very fast, very sophisticated 2-stroke racing machine a virtual ground-based missile. Pocket bikes have hair-trigger acceleration, and can hurt you very easily if you lack the fine motor skills required for very precise throttle control. When you operate gas scooters you should have wearing these things:

  • Helmet: A good helmet is the most important element of your protective gear when riding pocket bikes. Scrapes and bruises heal, but head wounds can severely affect you for the rest of your life.

  • Knee Pads: One of the best things invented for the knee pad was the plastic cap. When it comes to knee pads and pocket bikes, anything is better than nothing.
  • Gloves: Gloves come in many shapes and sizes, from motorcycle gloves to gardening mitts. Gloves should protect your hands and fit well. Use your best judgment here: some gloves are homely but work well.
  • Elbow Pads: Like knee pads, elbow pads ideally have plastic caps, but there are many alternatives that work just as well you can never be to safe when it comes to pocket bikes.
